Good Sports: Dream Job for NFL Network Producer
Goa-born McEnroe Francis has a job that many NFL fans would envy. “It’s a dream to cover football for a living and I feel very blessed to do something I love on a regular basis,” Francis told India-West.
A producer for NFL Network, Francis works behind the scenes to create pre-game and post-game shows, as well as various other shows for the network, such as NFL Red Zone and NFL Now.
Francis began his career at WBAL-TV in Baltimore and worked largely in news and entertainment before joining NFL Network in 2015. Succeeding in TV production involves not just hard work but the right attitude, he says.
“You want people to want to work with you and you can hold people accountable while having a good time,” he said. “Relationships are also very important for careers and even more in television sports.”
