Good Sports: BLOOMING GENEROSITY
Entrepreneurs Partha Raghunathan and Madhu Rajendran are determined to make a difference in India through their Dallas-based company Bloom & Give, which sells scarves, bags, and a variety of home items. The company donates 50 percent of its profits to support girls’ education programs in India. About half of the donated money goes to Educate Girls, a grassroots program that operates in 4,500 villages.
“We have just started what we hope will be a meaningful contribution to society someday,” the partners told the website Change Co. “We want to grow Bloom & Give to a point where we are able to donate a million dollars to girls’ education each year.”
