FORGET THE AIR CONDITIONER— USE COW DUNG
The heat wave in India can cause people to take extreme measures to cool themselves. With the temperature in Ahmedabad rising beyond 110 degrees Fahrenheit, a woman covered her Toyota in cow dung to keep the heat out.
“The heat was getting unbearable,” Sejal Shah told ANI. “I have used cow dung in my house for flooring and from that experience I thought of doing something with my car.”
Rupesh Gauranga Das, a Facebook user who shared photos of Shah’s car, wrote that it was the “best use of cow dung” he had ever seen.
While one commentator on NDTV.com called Shah’s cow-dung solution “cool, innovative, and spontaneous,” another deemed it an “indigenous idea”—an apt malapropism.
