FIRST DUMPED, THEN PUMPED
Sandeep “Sunny” Singh was feeling a little down when his girlfriend dumped him, but not for long. The 22-year-old Massachusetts man, who was juggling two jobs to support his family, was pumped in mid-October when he won a $30.5 million Mega Millions prize.
Asked at a press conference if he had a girlfriend or wife, Singh said: “She broke up with me, but right now, I’m not really worried about it. I was heartbroken at first, but now I’m getting over it.”
Nothing like $30.5 million to get over a relationship. Singh plans to use his winnings to help his mom pay her mortgage, help other family members, and donate money to the community.
“My mom needs the help and my family could use it, so God definitely helped us out at the right time,” Singh said.
His girlfriend may be regretting breaking up with him, considering his new status as Most Eligible Bachelor in Massachusetts. Asked if he thinks she’ll take him back, he said, “Doesn’t matter. I hope not.”
