DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN?
1. A school in Queens, New York, became the
first public school in America to offer an all-vegetarian
menu.
2. A zoo in Tacoma, Washington, named a tiger cub
Kali, after the Hindu goddess.
3. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa paid
a visit to a Chennai zoo to give Tamil names to seven
tiger cubs.
4. Upon Jayalalithaa’s recommendation, the zoo
has become the first in the world to offer an all-vegetarian
menu.
5. It also became the first zoo in the world in which
all the tigers went on strike.
