1. A 42-year-old Indian-American man was arrested for allegedly groping two women during a flight from Boston to Los Angeles.
2. A Canadian Member of Parliament who hails from Karnataka addressed his colleagues briefly in his native tongue, the first time Kannada has been spoken in any parliament outside of India.
3. Dressed in his wedding finery, a groom in Orissa rode a bicycle to the ceremony to protest high fuel prices.
4. The father of a bride in Maharashtra got his daughter married to one of the guests at the wedding after waiting four hours for the groom to arrive.
5. Two students who tied for fourth place in last year’s National Spelling Bee were eliminated from this year’s contest without spelling any words incorrectly.
