1. Former president Donald Trump said that India is a “very big abuser” of the U.S.-India trade relationship.
2. Subodh Chandra, a civil rights attorney, filed criminal charges against Trump and his running mate for falsely claiming that Haitian immigrants were eating pets.
3. The Pennsylvania General Assembly passed a bill to make Diwali an official holiday in the state.
4. Guinness World Records recognized Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi as the most prolific film star/actor/dancer in the Indian film industry.
5. Dr. Jay Varma, New York City’s former Covid czar, was fired as chief medical officer at SIGA Technologies for attending sex parties during the pandemic.
(All five really happened.)
