DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN?
1. India contributed $1.16 million to the United Nations to expand the use of Hindi in public outreach.
2. A Swiss court sentenced four members of Britain’s wealthiest family, the Hindujas, to prison for exploiting Indian servants at their Geneva mansion.
3. A study found that short-term exposure to air pollution claims 12,000 lives annually in Delhi.
4. A passenger on an Air India flight from Bengaluru to San Francisco found a metal blade in his meal of roasted sweet potato and fig chaat.
5. Air India said that the “foreign object” had come from a catering partner’s vegetable processing machine.
(All 5 really happened.)
