DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN?
1. A teenager of Indian descent rammed a U-Haul truck into barriers near the White House and threatened to kill the president.
2. A 53-year-old Nepali Sherpa guide set a record by climbing Mount Everest for the 27th time.
3. CNN reporter Manu Raju signed a deal to host a new show on ESPN called “Twice the Manu,” teaming up with former NBA star Manu Ginóbili.
4. Out of 11 finalists at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, nine were Indian American.
5. The first-ever Hindu-American Summit for Political Engagement was held in Washington D.C. to raise the Hindu community’s concerns before lawmakers.
(1, 2, 4 and 5 really happened.)
