Sonam Kapoor makes smashing debut at Cannes
The Cannes International Film Festival saw a bevy of Bollywood beauties walk down the red carpet this year. Besides the seasoned Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, there was Sonam Kapoor and Minissha Lamba, too. Cannes first-timer Sonam looked stunning in an unconventional Jean Paul Gaultier white gown with organza overlay, and a perfectly made up face. Ash, too, got the thumbs up from the fashion critics when she made a smashing entry wearing an Elie Saab fishtail gown. Of course, the ubiquitous Mallika Sherawat, in a daring see-through black lacy ensemble, and Freida Pinto, in a short black dress, grabbed eyeballs, too.
Representing the male brigade at Cannes were Saif Ali Khan and directors Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker and Anurag Kashyap.
