The biggie that is scheduled for release in September,
on Eid to be precise, is Karan Johar’s remake of Stepmom, titled We are Family.
Starring Kajol and Kareena Kapoor, We Are Family also has Arjun Rampal.
Arbaaz Khan makes his debut as producer with Dabangg which is slated for a September release. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap and starring Salman Khan, Dabangg sees Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, Sonakshi, make her debut in it.
Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif are the new pair on the block. The two have a couple of films in their kitty. They will first team up for the sequel of Dostana, next there is a Vipul Shah film, which is a romantic comedy. The remake of the Hollywood crime thriller, Italian Job, may or may not star Katrina: she said yes, then no... we’ll see.
Tennis ace Leander Paes has revealed that he has bagged two Bollywood movies. He is playing the lead in two action films, which will go on the floors in December, says he. One will be ‘Rajdhani Express,’ directed by Ashok Kohli. Leander jokes that since the noted Bengali poet and dramatist Michael Madhusudan Dutt is his ancestor, that takes care of his pedigree in acting.
