Short Term Shaadi between Kareena, Imran! |
|
Now,
now, don’t get us wrong! That’s just the tentative title of Karan Johar’s next
movie, which is apparently inspired by the Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher romcom,
What Happened in Vegas. The buzz is that Kjo has roped in Kareena Kapoor and the
flavor of the season Imran Khan for this romantic comedy. But everything is
being kept under wraps for the moment. Incidentally, Mahesh Manjrekar’s dream project, Ek Anokhi Prem Kahani, about a blind girl and a grotesquely disfigured man, might just see Bebo pair up with Sanjay Dutt for the first time. “Kareena projects a pristine beauty and innocence that I need to play up against Sanju’s character,” says Manjrekar.

Vivek Oberoi gets engaged to girl of parents’ choice So the self-proclaimed Casanova has got hitched
at last. Yes, Vivek Oberoi surprised everyone by getting engaged to 28-year-old
Priyanka Alva, a girl of his parents’ choice. However, given how much they have
in common, it could well have been a love match. Daughter of renowned dancer
Nandini and late politician Jeevaraj Alva, the London-educated Priyanka, like

Deepika has a new man in
her life |
|
After all that buzz about Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor getting back
together, it now seems that it’s all over between them. Reason: the pretty
actress is being seen all over tinsel town with young liquor baron, Siddharth
Mallya. First spotted together at the IPL matches, Deepika and Siddharth are now
a regular twosome at Mumbai’s hippiest bashes. They were most recently seen at
Salman Khan’s do which he hosted for his brother, Arbaaz and sister, Arpita. The
lovebirds arrived together and stayed by each other’s side throughout the party.
Conspicuous by her absence at Salman’s do was Katrina Kaif. Among those who attended it were Zarine Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Sonakshi Sinha and Salman’s former flame, Sangeeta Bijlani. |

Angelina Jolie as Draupadi? | |
There is news doing the rounds that Prakash Jha has
written to Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie asking her to play Draupadi in his
next international venture. Not done, say filmmakers who say that someone like
Madhuri Dixit would be a much better choice for the role of the iconic
character. Meanwhile, director Rituparno Ghosh, who is also making a film on Draupadi’s character, is all set to cast Bipasha Basu in the eponymous role. Says he: “I wanted my Draupadi to be dark and attractive.” Adds filmmaker Pritish Nandy: “Only one actress can play Draupadi: Bipasha. She has the perfect face for it.” |
