“Naatu Naatu” bags Oscar, Deepika stuns as presenter
As RRR’s music composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose walked up to receive the coveted Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles, it marked the grand culmination of the global euphoria that the spectacular song and dance sequence “Naatu Naatu” had kicked off.
Before the award was announced, Deepika Padukone, looking gorgeous in a classic black Louis Vuitton outfit, introduced a pulsating live performance by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the singers of “Naatu Naatu.” With this, Deepika became the third Indian presenter at Hollywood’s biggest award night, after Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra.
