One of the most awaited biggies of 2006, Farhan Akhtar's remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Don, releases this Diwali in October. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. Fans of Sunny Deol will see him in a new avatar in Naksha, an adventure film inspired by Hindu mythology. Sunny's role is that of a traveler looking for an ancient map. Viveik Oberoi and Sameera Reddy will also be seen in Sachin Bajaj's directorial debut.
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan will be seen together in Milan Luthria's action thriller Bheed, which is inspired by a true incident. "The film is based on a true story. It is about four characters – Sanjay Dutt is an outlaw and Ajay Devgan is a cop chasing him down. And there are two women also. But we haven't made the final decision on any actress yet," said Luthria, who is planning to shoot the film in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The film will have an international crew.
After their rocking chemistry in Salaam Namaste, we hear that Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta will be teaming up again for a Yash Chopra film. Apparently, Aditya Chopra is currently location hunting abroad along with director Siddharth Anand for the same.
Tanuja Chandra's Hope and a Little Sugar will be screened at the New York Film Festival in October. The film stars Mahima Choudhary.
