Movie Update
Abbas-Mustan’s multi-starrer Race starring Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy and Akshaye Khanna is slated for release in March. Another March release is the off-beat Black & White directed by Subhash Ghai, starring Anil Kapoor.
Hollywood-based Indian filmmaker Jagmohan Mundhra’s Shoot On Sight is scheduled to release in March the world over. It is about the West’s perception of Muslims following 9/11. The movie's take-off point is the order London Police passed to shoot suspected terrorists after the July 7, 2005, London subway bombings. The story revolves around the life of Tariq Ali (Naseeruddin Shah), a Lahore-born Muslim officer of Scotland Yard. The cast also includes Om Puri, Gulshan Grover and Pakistani actor Mikaal Zulfikar.
Sanjay Dutt will now be seen in Suniel Shetty’s quirky production EMI: Easy Monthly Instalments, where he plays a harassed, economically challenged middle class man. Urmila Matondkar is his co-star.
Shekhar Kapur is all set to revive his dream project Time Machine. He hopes to rope in Ranbir Kapoor for it.
