MOVIE UPDATE
Amol Palekar makes his international debut with an English film Quest, which is slated for an August release in India. Quest is a bilingual film, titled Thaang in Marathi. The Brisbane Film Festival of Australia hosted the world premier of the movie on July 6.
Vinod Khanna and his two sons Rahul and Akshaye might just appear together in a movie titled Ghar. Slated to be directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film is a powerful family saga and explores the relationship between a father and his two sons.
Remember the 1970s movie Victoria No 203? Well, it is reportedly being remade. To be directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the new Victoria No 203 (the title will be retained) will be an updated, modern day version of the original. Om Puri might be roped in for the role that was essayed by Pran in the original. A search is on for fresh faces for the lead pair.
Tanuja Chandra's forthcoming film Zindagi Rocks, starring Sushmita Sen and Shiney Ahuja, releases in August. The film tells the story of a fun-loving singer who goes through an emotional upheaval when she is faced with a reticent stranger.
Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav have joined hands to revive their fathers' banners and make films jointly. This venture will kick off with a film to be directed by Milan Luthria and starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are all set to delight their fans again in Anthony Kaun Hai which releases exactly a month before the sequel to Munnabhai MBBS, titled Lage Raho Munnabhai, hits the screens.
