Now this is an action thriller that keeps you glued to your seats till the end. The film challenges you to keep abreast with its frenetic pace replete with its fast cuts and dizzy camera angles. You cannot afford to let your mind wander for a single moment. The dark, brooding ambience only intensifies the cinematic experience.

Kaminey is the story of two twin brothers, Guddu and Charlie (Shahid Kapur), who hate each other. While Guddu with his endearing stammer is the good, peace-loving type, Charlie with the delightful lisp, is a small-time gangster who is hell-bent on getting rich quick, any which way. Guddu loves Sweety (Priyanaka), the sister of a politician (Amole Gupte).

One fateful night, the brothers’ lives turn turtle. They end up getting embroiled in the murky world of drugs, guns and money, and eventually realise that all they have is each other. Will the twins end up loving each other? Icing on the cake: an edge-of-the-seat climax that is absolutely riveting. A warning though: some of you may find the end too violent.

Shahid is terrific in his double role, playing both characters with equal aplomb. This film should open new vistas for him. Priyanka plays her Sweety to perfection. She even gets the Maharashtrian accent right on. Scriptwriter Amole Gupte of Taare Zameen Par fame makes a smashing debut as the wily neta.

Music by Vishal is brilliant and in complete sync with the mood of the film. The track Dhan Ta Nan has become a rage. The background score only enhances the overall impact of the movie. The dialogues, penned by Vishal himself, are fantastic. Cinematography is innovative.
