Kukunoor is back with ‘Mod’

Acclaimed filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor is back after a break, with his first love story, Mod, an adaptation of a Taiwanese film. Considering that Nagesh had earlier said that he would never make a love story, what made him change his mind? “I was blown away by this Taiwanese film that I saw at a film festival titled Keeping Watch, and I knew here was a story worth telling,” says he.

Starring Nagesh’s rakhi sister, Ayesha Takia Azmi and TV presenter-turned-actor, Rannvijay Singh, Mod is a love story between two very unlikely people, in the backdrop of a utopian hill town.
