Ranbir, Deepika are in love
Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni can stop vying for Deepika Padukone’s affections. Rumours notwithstanding, the truth is that the Om Shanti Om girl’s Saawariya is the suave Ranbir Kapoor. The two are said to have grown close during the shooting of Bachna Ae Haseenon in Australia. Back home, they shot for an ad together and the rest, as they say, is history. At the Filmfare Awards function in Mumbai, they were even caught by the media confessing their love for each other, backstage.
Ranbir has in fact gone on record as saying that Deepika is his girl though it’s too early for both of them to think of marriage. Where does that leave Sonam? “Well, we’re childhood friends. She’s an amazing girl but we’re not seeing each other,” clarifies Ranbir.
Sanjay Bhansali finds his ‘Saawariya’
Saawariya might not have ignited the box office but it sure kindled the spark of love in the hearts of its director and choreographer. Yes, after all the speculation it’s official now: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vaibhavi Merchant will be tying the knot soon. The couple apparently made the momentous decision in the romantic city of Paris where they are currently busy with a musical titled Padmavati for a French opera house.
Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata find themselves in a piquant situation. Sanju baba reportedly married Maanyata at a hotel in Goa on February 7. They also got married as per Hindu rituals in Mumbai later. But with Maanyata’s former husband Meraj surfacing on the scene, the Sanjay-Maanyata wedding is on hold. And Sanjay again finds himself embroiled in legal tangles.
Is Bruna the new girl in Salman’s life?
Tinseltown is abuzz with the news that Salman Khan has a new girl in his life. Not that Katrina and he have split, but the superbrat is said to have taken a fancy to MTV VJ, Bruna Abdalah, an attractive former Brazilian model whom Sallu is promoting in a big way in the industry. Bruna was seen in an item number in Cash, the movie which sank without a trace at the box office. The lady is now seen with Salman at filmi dos.
Interestingly, Salman and Katrina will be making a special appearance in Atul Agnihotri’s Hello, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel One Night @ A Call Centre. And they won’t play each other’s romantic interest.
Wedding bells for Rani in May?
The latest rumor doing the rounds is that Rani Mukherji and Aditya Chopra are all set to get married in May. You see, Adi’s divorce will officially come through then. Close friends of the reclusive couple say that both the Chopras and the Mukherjees are not happy with their children’s decision. So much so that Rani is said to have moved out of her parents’ home and into her new pad. Interestingly, Aditya has moved back into his parents’ home from the hotel where he had been staying for the past few months.
