Amitabh replaces Rishi Kapoor in The Intern remake

Amitabh Bachchan has stepped into his friend, the late Rishi Kapoor’s shoes for the Bollywood adaptation of The Intern which also stars Deepika Padukone. This is Big B and Deepika’s second collaboration after Shoojit Sircar’s 2015 drama Piku in which they played father and daughter. Rishi was about to start shooting for the remake when he passed away.
The 2015 American comedy drama The Intern starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in the lead roles.
