The Indian Consulate in Atlanta celebrates its first “Hindi Day”

 

 

The Indian Consulate in Atlanta celebrated the first “Hindi Day” on September 14, 2016. The program was arranged by the consulate in collaboration with the theatrical group Dhoop Chaon and the International Hindi Society. Along with Dhoop Chaon founder Sri Anil Bhagat, the program was initiated by International Hindi Society’s director, Sri Sanjeev Agarwal.

Consul D. V. Singh began by speaking about the historic significance of “Hindi Day”: the Indian congress had accepted Hindi as an official language for political affairs on September 14, 1949. It is a matter of pride that in the Atlanta region Sri D. V. Singh is a popular consul. The Indians here believe that he is enlightening America with Indian traditions. Everyone likes his simplicity.

The cultural program started with a vandana (prayer) sung by Vidhi Gupta, which was pleasing to the ear and appreciated by all. Ayan Agarwal presented a poem on “Mother.” His presentation was simple and fluent. The youngest participant, Anya Rathi, recited a poem in childlike language and delighted all.

Hindi scholar Dr. Mridul Kirti discussed the mystery of Hindi. According to him, Hindi is not only the language of scholars, it is also the language of the gods. Sri Rakesh Yadav then spoke about Hindi and unity: why in India we still cannot speak directly to others and need translators to communicate. He stressed the need to make Hindi not just a utilitarian language, but a relational language.

Pt. Radheshyam Mishra, director Ujjain Yoga Life Society International, spoke about Hindi and yoga. Smt. Anubhuti Rathi recited a poem.

Dr. Arun Misra spoke about his dedication to Hindi in Atlanta over several decades. He distributed his books and spoke about his experiences.

Sri Pankaj Patel, Sri Sanjay Prakash, Sri Mayank Shah, and Kumari Nidhi Misra presented their own poetry.

Sri Chander Gambhir, retired Consul, presented his written poetry and discussed about Hindi. Smt Raj Razdan, who runs several award-winning programs for senior citizens, discussed her views on Hindi.

The emcee, Sri Sanjeev Agarwal, concluded the cultural program by reciting his comic poems. The audience was very entertained with his poems.

At the end Sri D. V. Singh thanked everyone and distributed Hindi books to the children. About 60 to 70 people attended. The Indian Consulate in Atlanta arranged snacks. Organizers and workers all did a praiseworthy job. Media coverage was provided by Anjali Chhabria and Anwar Ajmeri of TV Asia.

भारतीय कौंसलावास एटलांटा में 'प्रथम हिंदी दिवस' १४ सितम्बर २०१६ को मनाया गया ।
The Indian Consulate in Atlanta celebrated the first “Hindi Day” on September 14, 2016.

कार्यक्रम का आयोजन कौंसलावास ने हिंदी नाट्य समूह “धूपछावं” और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हिंदी समिति के साथ मिलकर किया । हिंदी नाट्य समूह "धूपछावं” के सँस्थापक श्री अनिल भगत की उपस्थिति में "अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हिंदी समिति " के निदेशक श्री संजीव अग्रवाल जी ने कार्यक्रम का सञ्चालन किया ।

The program was arranged by the consulate in collaboration with the theatrical group “Dhoop Chaon” and the International Hindi Society. Along with “Dhoop Chaon” founder Sri Anil Bhagat, the program was initiated by International Hindi Society’s director, Sri Sanjeev Agarwal. The program was started by Indian Consul Sri D. V. Singh. Speaking about the historic significance of the “Hindi Day”, he said that the congress had accepted Hindi as an official language for political affairs on 14th September, 1949. He then gave permission to proceed with the cultural program.
कार्यक्रम का आरम्भ श्री डी वी सिंह, भारतीय कौंसिल ने किया । उन्होंने हिंदी दिवस की ऐतिहासिक महिमा बताते हुए बोले की संभिधान सभा ने १४ सितम्बर १९४९ को हिंदी को राजकीय कामकाज की भाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया था । उन्होंने सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अनुमति प्रदान किया ।

गौरतलब की बात है श्री डी वी सिंह जी एटलांटा क्षेत्र मैं रहने वाले भारतीयों के लोक प्रिय कौंसिल हैं । यहाँ के भारतीयों के अनुसार वे भारत की परंपरा को अमेरिका में प्रज्वलित कर रहे हैं । उनकी सरलता सबको बहुत अच्छी लगती है ।

सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का प्रारम्भ कुमारी विधि गुप्ता के वंदना से हुई । विधि की कर्णप्रिय वंदना को लोगों ने खूब सराहा । आयन अग्रवाल ने माँ के ऊपर एक कविता सुनायी । आयन ने कविता को बड़े सहज और सरल भाव मैं प्रस्तुत किये । कार्यक्रम की सबसे छोटे उम्र की वक्ता आन्या राठी ने "लाला जी ने केला खाया" कविता को अपने तुतली (बाल भाषा ) मैं बोलकर सबको मनमुग्ध कर दिया ।

हिंदी के विद्वान डॉ मृदुल कीर्ति जी ने हिंदी के अद्भुत रहस्य को खोला । उन्होंने क्या खूबी से "अ" से "ज्ञ" तक के ऊच्चारण को प्रणायाम से जोड़ा । उनके अनुसार हिंदी केवल जान भाषा ही नहीं बल्कि ये देव भाषा है । श्री राकेश यादव ने "हिंदी और एकता " पर अपने विचार दिए । उनके व्यव्हारिक भाव की हम भारत के सभी लोग क्यों एक दूसरे से बात नहीं कर पाते और बात-चीत के लिए अनुवादक की आवश्यकता मह्शूश होती है । हिंदी को कामकाज भाषा से सम्पर्क भाषा बनाकर देश को विदेशी बनने से रोकने पर जोर दिया । इनकी "आज के यू आर एल और कल के नॉट फाउण्ड' कविता पर लोग खूब हँसे और सराहे ।

पं राधेश्याम मिश्रा, सँस्थापक / निदेशक - उज्जैन योग लाइफ सोसाइटी इनेटरनॅशनल ने अपने विचार हिंदी और योग पर दिए । मार्मिक कविता श्रीमती अनुभूति राठी जी ने सुनायी । डॉ अरुण मिश्रा जी ने अपने हिंदी के योगदान को बताया । मिश्रा जी एटलांटा में हिंदी की सेवा कई दशकों से करते आ रहे हैं । उन्होंने अपने लिखित पुस्तक को भी वितरित किया और अपने लंबे अनुभव को बताया ।

श्री चन्दर गम्भीर, अवकाश प्राप्त कौंसिल अधिकारी ने अपने लिखे कविता और हिंदी पर विचार व्यक्त किये । श्रीमती राज राजदान जो की उम्रदराज नागरिकों के लिये कई पुरस्कृत कार्यक्रम चलाती हैं , उन्होंने हिंदी पर अपने विचार व्यक्त किये ।

कार्यक्रम के संचालक श्री संजीव अग्रवाल जी ने अपनी हास्य कविता के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन किया । उनकी कविता से लोग हॅंसी से लोट पोट हो गए ।

At the end Sri D. V. Singh thanked everyone and distributed Hindi books to the children. There were about 60 to 70 people attending this event. The Indian consulate in Atlanta arranged snacks. कार्यक्रम के समापन में श्री डी वी सिंह जी ने सबको धन्यवाद दिया और बच्चों कों हिंदी की पुस्तकें वितरित किये । इस गौरवी कार्यक्रम मैं ६०-७० लोग उपस्थिति थें । सभी लोगों के लिए भारतीय कौंसलावास एटलांटा ने स्वादिष्ट जलपान की व्यवस्था भी की थी । कौंसिल के सभी अधिकारी और कर्मचारी ने प्रसंशनीय काम किये । कार्यक्रम का मीडिया कवरेज "टीवी एशिया " की अंजलि छबारिया और अनवर अज़मेरी ने किया ।
