Janmashtami celebrations at Gokuldham Haveli
Shri Krishna Janmotsav and Nanda Bhavan festival was celebrated in Gokuldham Haveli on Tuesday evening in the presence of Shashth Pithadhishwar Reverend Dwarakeshlal Ji Maharajshree, of Shree Kalyanraiji Temple of Vadodara, who had returned after three years to Gokuldham Haveli in Atlanta.
The Vaishnav devotees of Gokuldham were blessed by the sight of Shree Thakorji in a silver palana. The center of attraction was the decoration of Nand Bhavan prepared for the occasion by the decoration team of Gokuldham. On the occasion, devotees shouted Nand Gher Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki and immersed themselves in the joy of Shree Krishna Janmotsava.
After Srikrishna Janmotsav, Srikrishna Charitamrut Satsang was organized at Sri Jagadguru Hall in Gokuldham. On this occasion, Maharajshree described and explained the five principles of devotion: that if we constantly worship the Lord with any one of the five bhavas(senses), this soul can never be separated from God. He described these bhavas as Vatsalya (affection) Bhava, Sakhya (Friend) Bhava, Madhurya (Love) Bhava, Dasa (Servant) Bhava, and Karma (Service) Bhava. He said that even if Kansa took Krishna's name out of fear, he would be liberated; that Krishna never leaves the hand and companionship of those who worship Him with devotion.
Kamini and Tushar Patel from Main Manor, and Bela and Biren Shah from Co Manor, were felicitated on the occasion. Vaishnavs welcomed the announcement when Maharajshree shared that Tejas Patwa, the executive secretary of Gokuldham Haveli, had received the honorary doctorate.
Gokuldham Chairman Ashok Patel, Executive Secretary Tejas Patwa, Treasurer Kintu Shah, Jigar Shah, Subodh Shah, Dr. Indra Shah, Hetal Shah, Sameer Shah, Alkesh Shah, Ketul Thakar, Hitesh Pandit, Atmay, and ArshTalati were present.
