ITServe Atlanta: a new chapter of working together begins
”Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success,” once said Henry Ford—and these were the first few words of Ravi Chander, Vice President of ITServe Alliance Atlanta Chapter, in his welcome note at the first meeting of 2017 held at Biryani Pot Banquet Hall on March 24, 2017. This quote is very close to the mission statement of the organization, too.
ITServe Atlanta Chapter is still new, having been launched in September 2016. The March meeting was attended by about 60 of its 75 members, most of whom were CEOs/Presidents of IT companies of Atlanta area. After brief introductions of all attendees, Mrs. Naheed Syed, the President of the Chapter, spoke about the principles on which the organization was founded. She emphasized the need for such an organization to have a stronger voice and to develop a cohesive environment amongst the member companies. From Mission Statement to the list of benefits, she detailed the past, present, and the future of the organization while being very receptive to views and questions from the audience.
Pundi Narasimhan and Chand Akkineni, veterans in the Atlanta IT scene, shared their views while offering their support. Others speaking were Praveen Puram, Viju Chiluveru, Mallik Medarametla, and King Koduru. Team members are Naheed Syed - President, Ravi Chander - Vice President, Kris Gadde - Treasurer, Venu Pisike - Secretary, Nandu Vaid - Membership, Sunil Savili - Political Affairs, Karunakar Asireddy - Media Relations, Mallik Medarametla - Benefits, Shilpa Jadwani - Speaker Coordination.
