Indian Consulate Now Open in Atlanta
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PASSPORT/CONSULAR SERVICES AT CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA (CGI), ATLANTA
The new Consulate General of India in Atlanta began Passport and Miscellaneous Consular services with effect from October 1, 2012. Passport applications are accepted at the Outsourcing Agency, VFS Services USA Inc., at its premises at India Passport Application Center - Atlanta, North Side Tower, Suite 120, 6065 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. For Miscellaneous Consular services, applicants may visit the Consulate office at 5549, Glenridge Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA-30342 between 10 am and 12.30 pm. No prior appointment is required.
The following US States and Territories are included in the CGI, Atlanta jurisdiction (for Passports, Miscellaneous Services and consular outreach only):
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virgin Islands.
Applicants from the above states, who have so far been applying for passports and miscellaneous services at Consulate General of India, Houston, Consulate General of India, New York and Embassy of India, Washington, DC, may apply from October 1, 2012 to Consulate General of India, Atlanta (for miscellaneous services) and to VFS Services USA Inc., Atlanta (for passport services).
VISA / OCI / PIO AND RELATED SERVICES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY CGI, ATLANTA AS YET
At present, Consulate General of India, Atlanta is unable to offer Visa/OCI/PIO related services. These services will be taken up by the Consulate General of India, Atlanta at a later date. Until that time, these will be continued to be provided as per the existing jurisdiction by Consulate General of India, Houston, Consulate General of India, New York and Embassy of India, Washington, DC, respectively as given below:
Consulate General of India, Houston - Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi
Consulate General of India, New York - Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico
Embassy of India, Washington D.C. - South Carolina, and Tennessee.
These services will continue to be provided by M/s Travisa Outsourcing Agency till further notification.
