Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple distributes food and masks to overcome COVID-19 pandemic

To prevent the spread of contagious virus, Covid-19, Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple of Lilburn, GA, donated 10,000 disposable masks to many community organizations. It also donated food to multiple food pantries in Metro Atlanta area as well as in India. Founded in 1987, the temple extended its distribution to Gwinnett Police Headquarters, Lilburn Police Station, City Hall, assisted living homes, fire stations, small business centers, local doctors’ offices, nursing homes, as well as Nepalese and Bhutanese communities of Metro Atlanta. As the temple continues to reach out and support, it also donated and distributed daily essential food provisions for 200 poor and needy people through Saksham Telangana, an organization active in India.
