Gokuldham celebrates International Yoga Day
The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated on Sunday June 27 at Gokuldham Haveli under the leadership of Consulate General of India in Atlanta. A large number of youngsters, youth and adults joined in the celebration of Yoga Day organized under the theme of Yoga for Harmony and Peace.
Consul General Dr. Swati Kulkarni, American Republican Party member Rich McCormick, Federation of Indian American Association President Vasudev Patel, Rajiv Menon, Gokuldham Haveli Chairman Ashok Patel and various executive secretaries were present on the occasion.
At the start of the Yoga Day celebrations, yoga enthusiasts listened to a video speech by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who said that yoga has become a ray of hope in the world facing the Corona epidemic today.
Yoga enthusiasts made the celebration meaningful by performing various yoga postures in the two-hour program. Due to the pandemic, the rules of discipline regarding Corona were observed in the celebration of Yoga Day.
Team members of Gokuldham Haveli:Hetal Shah, Hitesh Pandit, Karan Shah and Arsh Talati worked towards making the Yoga Day celebrations at Gokuldham Haveli a success. Manubhai Patel contributed towards food service.
