GIACC founder Ani Agnihotri appointed adviser of Chhattisgarh
The Government Of Chhattisgarh, India, has appointed Mr. Ani Agnihotri as an Honorary Adviser for advancement of the interests of Chhattisgarh in the United States of America. The official declaration was issued on July 9, 2002 by order and in the name of the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
As an Adviser, Agnihotri will be responsible to recommend to the State Government on how it can attract Non-Resident Indian investment as well International partnerships to the build state's infrastructure, education system as well as areas of emerging industries such as Information Technology, Biotech, Food Processing and Forestry etc.
The appointment comes on the heels of the recent visit of Honorable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr. Ajit Jogi to Atlanta. During the June 2002 visit, Georgia-Indo American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC) organized a dinner reception in the honor Minister Jogi and the visiting delegation. On behalf of the State Government of Georgia, Commissioner R. K. Sehgal of Georgia Dept. of Industries, Trade and Tourism welcomed Jogi and invited the delegation to consider exploring possibilities of establishing a state-to-state partnership with Georgia.
Agnihotri is Chairman of the Board of Directors (2002), India-American Cultural Association (IACA), as well as the Founding President and Charter Member of GIACC
