Gala Diwali event by TAMA
Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) celebrated Diwali on November 21, with more than 250 people attending this online event. TAMA Cultural Secretary, Suresh Bandaru welcomed everyone and conveyed Diwali wishes. He also explained the significance of Diwali. TAMA President, Bharath Maddineni spoke about the objectives of TAMA and how the organization has adapted, planned, and executed its activities during Covid times.

The event was hosted by Madhulika Pasumarthi who handled the event with liveliness. As part of the cultural program, a variety of dances, devotional songs, melodies, and skits were performed by Atlanta children and artists who held the audience spellbound. Tollywood playback singers, Mohana Bhogaraju and Anudeep Devarakonda brought a lot of excitement and joy to the event by singing popular songs from different genres.

One of TAMA’s supporters and sponsors, Mohan Edara launched TAMA’s yearly magazine for 2020.Sri Srinivasa Rao Rayapureddy Memorial Volunteer Service Award was presented to Malini Akula for her exemplary voluntary services. Another persistent supporter of TAMA, Mallik Medarametla spoke about Sri Srinivas, his association with TAMA and his service to the community. Maddineni introduced next year’s team to the audience. TAMA President-elect, Innaiah Yenumala thanked all the sponsors, chief guests, anchors, singers, volunteers, and TAMA team for making Diwali celebrations a resounding success. The event was
