Food4Lives raises funds for sleeping bags as winter approaches
As winter months approach, volunteers at Food- 4Lives (F4L) are working to provide sleeping bags for the homeless around Atlanta.
Serving people experiencing food and housing insecurity in Atlanta, Food4Lives team has been serving fresh meals since the lockdown in March 2020. To mark 200 consecutive days of service, F4L began a fundraiser for 200 sleeping bags, led by Veena Koppula. They reached their goal of $2000 through donations by Atlanta community, some of whom donated sleeping bags as well.

On November 7th, 2020, more than 20 volunteers met at the Food4Lives Kitchen in West Midtown from where they headed to Woodruff Park in Downtown Atlanta for the drive. Besides sleeping bags and warm clothes, Food4Lives also served fresh vegetarian lunch along with snack bags.
