First new Indian church in Suwanee area
“Does a fresh start sound good to you? Then come check out Faith Family Covenant Church.” That was how the invitation started on door hangers across multiple communities in Suwanee, Georgia. This new church is the brainchild of Pastor Palmer Paramadhas, who is known across Atlanta for spearheading the Atlanta Tamil Church and helping many immigrants establish roots in the local region. This new church’s vision is to create a community where people can develop an authentic, personal, and growing relationship with God—to encounter life and hope in Jesus Christ through worship and live a purpose-driven life by applying God’s word to daily life.
The inaugural service was held on June 3rd, 2012, at 5.30pm in the Friendship Christian School campus of Suwanee, with around 75 attending. It began with the dynamic worship team led by Ebenezer Samuel, followed by the welcome address by Bro. Frank Robinson. The inaugural service was graced by Pastor Alexander Thomas of International Church, Rev. Vasily Lantukh of New Life Slavic Evangelical Church, and Bishop Bill Jones of IPHC – GA Conference. After the felicitations by the respected pastors, it was followed by a sharing of the word of God about ‘Faith’ by Bishop Bill Jones. The service concluded with presentation to the honored guest by Sis. Susie Palmer, a vote of thanks by Pastor Palmer, announcements, and a fellowship meal.
The church will continue to meet every Sunday evening at 6:00pm to worship God and learn from the Bible. Healing services will be on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm from August 2012. The new church welcomes new friends.
