Congressman Gingrey to Join Caucus on India
Congressman Phil Gingrey (Republican-Georgia) will be joining the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian-Americans very soon. He made this commitment to Narender Reddy, a Republican Party activist, who hosted a fundraising event for the Congressman at the Hilton Hotel (North West) in Atlanta. Earlier, while welcoming Phil Gingrey, Reddy assured him of the long-term friendship of the Indian-American community.
Dr. Arvind Gupta,, who was also present, discussed the Kashmir issue and requested the Congressman's support and understanding. Dr. J. J. Shah mentioned his reservations about the selection process at Ivy League schools, whereas Dr. Naresh Parikh expressed his concerns about the "de-selection practices" of certain HMOs in Georgia. In his speech, Congressman Gingrey assured the gathering that they could count on him as a friend. Urging them to bring every issue to his attention, he said that he would do everything possible to help the Indian-American community.
