Bhat Foundation awards scholarships to high school students
On June 12th, the Bhat Foundation organized Scholarship Breakfast Banquet and awarded scholarships to seven graduating high school students.
SmtShankariMuteri and late Shri NarasimhaiyaMuteri Scholarship is awarded by the Bhat Foundation to top graduating high school senior students of Karnataka heritage. Drs. Bhat have been awarding this scholarship for the last 14years.Drs.Anna & Subra Bhat Henry County School District Scholarships, also instituted by the Bhat Foundation, are awarded to top graduating high school senior students who have excelled in their curriculum. Bhat Foundation also established a new scholarship and donated cash awards to Virtual Women Life Academy which will be used for educational needs of two new students.
Dr Thomas J Hynes,Jr., President of Clayton State University, was the chief guest. He, along with June Wood, past Chairwoman of the Henry County Board of Commissioners and Chair of Henry County Board of Health, awarded certificates and cash prizes to all students.
Subra, Anu &Kiran Bhat Foundation, established in 2019 by Drs. Subrahmanya and Annapurna Bhat, focuses on education, health as well as cultural and literary promotionby establishing sustained scholarships, grants, awards and health benefits.
