BAGA Celebrates 4th Of July with Singing Sensation Usha Uthup
On the 4th of July the Bengali Association of Greater Atlanta (BAGA) organized a concert by Indian pop singer Usha Uthup. The well attended concert took place at Shamrock Middle School in Decatur, Georgia.
The program started with the American National Anthem sung by Srijita Mukherjee and the Indian National Anthem sung by Krishnakali and her group. Richa Sarkar, Mallika Basu and Krishnakali presented the program in Bengali, English and Hindi. Usha Uthup mesmerized the audience with her hit songs in English, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The crowd could not help but dance to her music
Tanweer Mian performed during the intermission. He also provided the sound system for the event ensuring that the event went smoothly. The entire program was coordinated by Shanta Gupta who worked tirelessly to make it happen.
