BAGA organized Durga Puja 2020
Due to the pandemic, Durga Puja 2020 was conducted as a virtual event so that Bengali Association of Greater Atlanta (BAGA) members could enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their homes.

An online kids program for children to showcase their talents was organized on October 17 as a run up to Durga Puja on October 23. The artists that performed this year included Indrani Sen and Kamolini (Rabindra Sangeet), Poushali and Dohar Band (Folk Genre), Shovan Sundar (Rabindra Kabita), and Shaswati Phukan (Bollywood Genre). October 24 was marked with performances by Padma Shri awardee, Hariharan and Jolly Mukherjee. More cultural activities involving middle and high school kids, the Annual BAGA Natok, and Shyama Sangreet by Gurjeet Singh were also conducted.
BAGA members participated in Anjali and Aarti virtually. Food was available to be picked up by the members after the Puja. BAGA magazine, Pratichi, published a multimedia alternative with seperate versions for children and adults on the occasion. BAGA took the opportunity to thank its members who contributed towards relief efforts in times of Covid-19 and Amphan flood relief.
