Atlanta Tamil Church in Festival of India Event

Atlanta Tamil Church proudly participated in the 28th Annual Festival of India – a grand celebration of Indian Independence in Atlanta held on 17th August 2024.Celebrating the Indian Independence Day in the land of opportunities with fellow Indians and others by embracing our Indian culture and traditions has brought happiness and enlightened memories back home. 

The event was well organized with varied interests beginning with day long cultural performances, Flag March featuring a 300 ft long Indian flag, Health Fair, Chess, Art, Dance and Debate competitions, extensive shopping, and sumptuous spread of Indian food vendors.

AT_2_10_24.jpgThe congregation of Atlanta Tamil Church, led by Rev. Dr. Palmer Paramadhas, has always taken efforts to stay connected to the community in all possible ways to illuminate with happiness and love.

The members of Atlanta Tamil Church engaged in showing love with special counseling and prayer requests for those in need to get connected and to those that needed a shoulder to share their load.Devotional books and encouraging promise verses were presented to those who were visiting the booth.

AT_3_10_24.jpgThe young and energetic kids of Atlanta Tamil Church played a vital role in entertaining kids in the event throughfreeface painting and nail art. It wasa joyous and fabulous experience for everyone to see the dazzling smile on the faces of the little ones.

The members of the church also encouraged kids visiting the booth to participate in different games.

The day ended with heartfelt memories and cherished moments of being able to pour love into the community which also is the testament of the Church’s vision and mission that transcend geography, race, and spiritual background.

Publication of reports is based on several criteria including the volume of reports submitted for a given issue. Deadline: 15th of each month—for consideration in the following month. However, chances of inclusion are better if reports are received well in advance of the deadline – where possible, e.g. within 3-7 days of the event.
