GlobalArt USA held its 2012 Annual Competition Award Ceremony on Sunday, May 19th at Brindavan Banquet Hall in Alpharetta, GA. Starting the event promptly at 4pm, GlobalArt Director Sudha Gopalakrishnan addressed the proud parents and excited students. The competition had been held earlier during the week in each of the three GlobalArt locations. This year’s theme, “Healthy Living,” was chosen to help spark creative thought about what encompasses a healthy lifestyle.

Students were split into three groups depending on their artistic level. Group A focuses on coloring, blending, and shading techniques. Group B focuses on intermediate coloring, blending, and shading as well as basic drawing techniques. Group C requires students to fully compose their artwork, requiring advanced coloring techniques as well as full-fledged drawing.
