Forsyth Teen Makes USA Cricket History

Nitish Sudini of Forsyth County has earned international recognition after becoming the first player in the history of USA Cricket across all national teams, including men’s, women’s, and youth programs, to score a century in an ICC tournament.

The milestone came during the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where Sudini, a member of the USA Cricket Under-19 National Team, scored an unbeaten 117 runs. The achievement drew attention from cricket circles internationally and marked a significant moment for American cricket.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners honored Sudini during its May 7 regular meeting, recognizing his accomplishments and contribution to the community.

Born in Atlanta and raised in Forsyth County, Sudini is part of a growing generation of American cricketers helping expand the sport’s presence in the United States, including in metro Atlanta’s large cricket-loving South Asian community.
