She’s not quite ready to compete
on the LPGA tour yet, but Karina
Jadhav, a third-grader at Pegasus
School in Huntington Beach,
California, is America’s top-ranked
golfer among 7- and 8-year-old girls.
She attained the ranking by finishing fourth
in her age group at the recent IMG Junior World
Championships in California, just behind golfers from
Japan, Thailand, and China.
Karina, who is now ranked fourth in the world,
played 54 holes over three days, achieving a score of
182. She began playing golf at age 4 and can drive a
ball more than 160 yards.
