Cricket superstar Virat Kohli started a foundation
in 2013 to help needy children. One of the
children who is benefiting from the Virat Kohli
Foundation is a budding golf star, 14-year-old Arjun
Bhati of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Arjun, who has twice won the Kids World Golf
Championship in his age group, as well as more
than 100 junior tournaments, will have his golf
expenses paid by the foundation. He will be able
to travel to international tournaments, giving him
the type of competition he needs
to potentially develop into a professional
player.
“Golf is an expensive sport
and middle-class people like me find it difficult to
support kids after a while,” Arjun’s father, Bobby,
told Times of India. “So it’s great that he is getting
this support; his talent won’t go to waste because
of any lack of monetary support.”
