GOOD SPORTS: KHOSLAS PURCHASE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Fans of the Seattle Seahawks hope the new owners of the team, venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and his wife, Neeru, will keep the team on its winning path. The Khoslas led a group that recently agreed to purchase the reigning Super Bowl champions for a record $9.6 billion. Neeru Khosla, holding at least a 30% share in the team, will serve as the controlling owner. Their son, Neal, โ€œis expected to have a significant leadership role in the ownership group,โ€ according to a league memo obtained by ESPN.

Vinod co-founded Sun Microsystems and founded Khosla Ventures, which made major investments in OpenAI, DoorDash, and Instacart. Neeru co-founded CK-12 Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to provide low-cost access to K-12 education.

The Seahawks are the third NFL team to have non-White majority owners, joining the Jacksonville Jaguars, owned by Pakistani-born Shahid Khan, and the Buffalo Bills, owned by Kim Pegula, a Korean American.
