Thirteen-year-old Aarushi Chandane and
7-year-old Omkar Chandane aren’t professional
artists, but they’ve already done more with their
art than most of us can dream of.
Eager to help a charity, the siblings from Parsipanny,
New Jersey, organized a community exhibition
of their artwork recently. They sold 40
paintings and raised about $1,500 for Save Indian
Farmers. The organization
helps widows
of farmers start small businesses and support
themselves and their kids.
Aarushi’s and Omkar’s donation will help two
widows become self-sufficient. Through their artwork,
the siblings have painted a brighter future
for two families in India.
