The film fraternity was plunged in grief as legendary actor Dharmendra, fondly known as the He-Man of Hindi cinema, breathed his last on November 24, just two weeks short of celebrating his 90th birthday. Admired for his good looks, playful charm, rugged masculinity, and comic flair onscreen, Dharamji was loved equally for his humility and warmth off the screen.
In a career spanning almost seven decades, Dharmendra acted in over 300 films, including Satyakam, Chupke Chupke , and the iconic Sholay, in which he played the lovable Veeru. The veteran actor, who was given a tearful farewell by his family and friends, as well as colleagues and fans, was last seen in the 2023 hit Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He will be seen posthumously in the war drama titled Ikkis.
