Sangeetha Vaibhavam group is planning to celebrate the glory of pre-Trinity composers (pUrva vAggEyakArA@H) in March. This will be a day-long event similar to prior SV events bringing together music enthusiasts, performers and students together in a series of performances, both solo and groups. The objectives are to provide stage for as many performers and students as possible while striving to spread the knowledge of music through educational presentations and creating an informed audience as well.
For the purpose of chronological classification of composers, those born before the year 1750 are considered Pre-Trinity Composers. Some of the prominent names in this category are Purandara daasaru, Annamaacharyulu, kshetragjna, jayadeva kavi, Oothukadu Venkata kavi, marimuthu pillai, vyasa rayaru, sreepada raja teertharu, Narayana theertha kavi, pacchimiiyam adiyappa, arunachaka kavirayar, paidala gurumurthy sastry, bhadrachala ramadasu, papanasam mudaliyar, jagannadha dasaru, sadasiva brahmendra swamy, kanaka dasaru and many more.
