To prevent the risk of an urban health crisis, cities around the world must first recognize and understand their own unique health challenges.

In its 8th edition, the Atlanta Global Health Summit will explore the theme of urban environments and health. Panels and fireside chats will touch upon global heath concerns that affect cities and ways to manage these issues: HIV/AIDS, non-communicable and infectious diseases, and digital health.

Urbanization continues to accelerate, especially in developing nations: for the first time in history, half of the low and middle income people now live in cities.
