An Evening for Global Equality
9/15/2019 2:45 PM
Join several renowned performers in the community to raise awareness for The Borgen Project! We are honored to have reputable performers from multiple genres and styles such as:
~All-India radio permanent artist, Dr. Souryadeep Bhattacharyya, on sarod
~Sri Anjaneya Sastry on tabla
~Raja Banerjee from the pioneering Bengali jazz folk band Mohiner Ghoraguli
~Anamika Palkundu, the director of the Heritage School of Performing Arts
~The award-winning Atlanta Nritya Academy with director, Sudakshina Mukherjee
~Well known local singer, Santanu Kar
~And, budding talents, Sampriti De on sitar, and Aratrika and Urjoshi Kar!
The Borgen Project is a national advocacy campaign that aims to make global poverty reduction a greater focus of U.S. foreign policy. We work primarily through congressional outreach and constituency mobilization, to convince congresspeople to support key poverty-reducing legislation.
Advocating for issues such as global poverty is instrumental in minimizing them. And thus, we need your help in strengthening our message and look forward to seeing you there!
