Born Nimrata Nikki Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina, to an Indian Sikh family, Haley is one of two sitting Indian American governors in the United States. The other is Bobby Jindal, the current governor of Louisiana. Jindal assumed office on January 14, 2008.
