Southeast Emmy Award winners

The 45th Annual Southeast Emmy Award winners were honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast on June 15, 2019. The contest had more than 1,300 entries from TV stations and digital media organizations in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Abijeet Achar’s team from GPB won three awards: 1) Dangerous Color–Bringing Color to the Table, 2) Leigh Ann Culver–Soul Stories Told with Charcoal, and 3) Mutiny Arwrx. Other nominees included Shashi Anil Rajadhyax (WSB-TV) and Ashley ShahAhmadi (FOX Sports South).
In Student categories, winners included Nasreen Tajiddin (2 awards) from Alpharetta High School, and Awais Bashir and Shayain Lakhani from SCAD. Other nominees included Abhinav Prakesh (Peachtree Ridge HS), Yash Kadadi (Westminster), Ayush Gupta (Calhoun HS), Anjali Patel (USC), and Vishvesh Bakshi, Parham Hasibi, and Heta Patel (all from SCAD).
