RAMAYANA-BASED VIDEO GAME RELEASED
Want your kids to learn about the Ramayana? There may be no easier way than to download the video game Gamaya Legends, which is based on the epic poem and features characters such as Rama, Mahiravana, Hanuman, Sugriva, Sita, Jatayu, Lakshmana, Indrajit, Anjana, and Ravana.
Gamaya Inc., a company founded by Indian-American Narayanan Vaidyanathan, has also created toys to go with the game, as well as an animated cartoon series that, according to a press release, “focuses on the back stories of all the characters, created with state-of-3D graphics that further immerses kids and families into the fascinating world of the Ramayana.”
The video game is intended for children aged 7 to 12, who undoubtedly will love the game and the responses they can give their parents.
Mother: “Put away the iPad! Haven’t you played video games long enough?”
Child: “But Mom, I’m learning about Rama, Sita, and Hanuman.”
Mother: “Okay, then. Just a little longer.”
