Good Sports: Will You "Marrow" Her? Yes!
When someone needs a bone marrow transplant, finding a match isn’t easy. It certainly helps when scores of their online friends and others are willing to spread the word and register as potential donors. But even then, they need a lot of luck. That’s why 24-year-old Moneet “Money” Mann, an Indo-Canadian student diagnosed with leukemia, was ecstatic when a campaign to find a match for her called “Will you marrow me?” was successful.
“Today marks the HAPPIEST DAY of my life, all because someone in this world is a MATCH!” the Ontario woman wrote on her Facebook page.
Her message to her donor was even more poignant: “Thank you so much. I don’t know where in this world you are, but when the day comes that I can contact you, I will travel near or far to show you just how much happiness you have brought into my life.”
