Good Sports: TRIBUTE TO TENDULKAR

Back in 2011, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar deemed himself an actor to claim tax deductions related to his appearances in commercials. This year, he’ll have a more compelling case: he has signed up to appear in a full-length movie, playing who else but himself.

The yet-to-be-named biopic is being produced by Mumbai-based company “200 Not Out” and directed by London-based James Erskine.

“We will work with the best in the business for the film to be a fitting tribute to the unparalleled achievements of Sachin Tendulkar,” Ravi Bhagchandka, founder of “200 Not Out,” told Times of India.

Tendulkar was certainly the “best in the business” on the cricket field, winning enough accolades to fill an entire book. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be able to give himself a “fitting tribute” on the big screen.
